Associative
From Maths
Definition
An operator is associative[1] if:
- (xy)z=x(yz) where xy denotes the operator acting on x and y
In fact given a function ×:S×S→S we even call the image of (x,y) under × the product (or indeed the sum if we're using additive notation)
