• $$\frac{d}{dx}\big[ax^2+bx+c\big]\Big\vert_{x}\eq 2ax+b$$

We are interested in the derivative being zero, ie:

• $2ax+b\eq 0$

  $\implies 2ax\eq -b$

  $$\implies x\eq\frac{-b}{2a}$$ Confirmed
